Miguel Ángel Miranda (València, 1970)

Miguel Angel Miranda has been a teacher of  Zoology at the University of the Balearic Islands since 1995 and has carried out his research work mainly in the field of Applied Entomology, (the study of pests and disease vectors).

He is a great lover of comics and drawing and he collaborated as an editor and author in the fanzine Plomí Corcat in the late nineties. In 2017 he organised a course on Scientific Image at the university and in 2021 he curated the exhibition “Còmic i ciència”, as part of the “CòmicNostrum International Festival”. He has attended many courses and workshops on illustration and comics, and still uses coloured chalk in his classes to explain the anatomy of animals.
