Jaume Balaguer (Palma, 1971)
I started publishing regularly in the Sunday supplement RifiRafe and since then much of my work has been related to the local press: the comic strip Biel & Co. for the Diario de Mallorca supplement, several cartoons and the comic strip Muts for Última Hora, as well as many press illustrations for Balears and other publications and supplements of the “Grup Serra” (newspapers).
I was a regular collaborator for the magazine Esquitx (2001-2012) with the series Contes de la Llacuna and Contes d’un Sac, and I have published comic pages for publications such as Cavall Fort or Mister K. I have also collaborated as an illustrator for Moll and Dolmen Editorial and for several publications of the Government of the Balearic Islands and other Public Institutions.
My comic strip Albercocs i Ciceres, which is about social and political news has been published everyday in the newspaper Ultima Hora since 2007.
